Ave Maria and Naples Comprehensive Health Announce Healthcare Collaboration

Naples, FL, — April 4, 2025 — In response to continued growth in eastern Collier County, Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH) and the developer of Ave Maria, Barron Collier Companies (BCC), announced they are collaborating to bring first-rate healthcare to Ave Maria. NCH will open a 6,000 square-foot immediate care clinic in Midtown Plaza in Ave Maria to treat non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The facility will be staffed with board-certified emergency physicians, physician assistants, and nurses and is the first of several planned NCH healthcare facilities in eastern Collier County.
“This is going to be urgent care that will see walk-ins from cuts, sprained ankles and fractures to low-level acute care,” Jonathan Kling, NCH Chief Operating Officer said. “NCH is a community pilar and focused on caring for our community. This new healthcare asset will increase access for our neighbors.”
Future plans include expanded healthcare options as the region continues to grow. Following the immediate care clinic and new physician offices, NCH plans to open and operate a 24-hour freestanding emergency room facility (FSED) modeled after their existing FSED facilities in Northeast Collier and Bonita Springs. The FSED will be located near the main entrance to Ave Maria and offer emergency services for conditions such as broken bones, heart attack, stroke, severe burns, severe allergic reaction and more.
“This is one of the fastest growing areas in the state of Florida – not just in Southwest Florida,” said Kling. “The number of families moving in every year and the distance from healthcare makes this something that is really a need for our community. Having access to quality healthcare nearby is what this community deserves and we’re happy to be a part of it.”
Access to quality healthcare and facilities enhances residents quality of life. While Ave Maria has always offered fitness and recreation amenities to its residents, close to home medical professionals and facilities has remained one of the final pieces of the puzzle until now. “Together, we’ve reached a remarkable milestone that reflects both of our organizations commitment to prioritizing health and wellness for the residents of Ave Maria and eastern Collier County,” said Blake Gable, BCC Chief Executive Officer. “We welcome NCH and their medical professionals to the community and look forward to continuing to enhance the healthcare options within the town.”
The office building will have space for specialists who will visit on a rotating schedule alleviating the need for residents to travel into Naples for care. “It’s exciting for our community to have this major healthcare system committed to Ave Maria and eastern Collier County to meet the growing demands of healthcare throughout the county,” said Cee Cee Marinelli, BCC VP of Commercial Real Estate.
Ave Maria, with its tagline “A Big Kind of Small Town,” focuses on providing a lifestyle that blends big-city amenities with a small-town atmosphere. From the start, its developers have emphasized that residents shouldn’t have to compromise on variety or convenience. With essential goods and services just a golf cart ride away, residents can enjoy both physical and mental well-being.
