AVE MARIA NAMED COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR FOR 8TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR
NAPLES, FL., – October 18, 2022 – Ave Maria, Florida is the recipient of the prestigious Community of the Year award presented annually by the Collier Building Industry Association. This is the eighth consecutive year that Ave Maria and its developer, Barron Collier Companies, have won the award for the under $500,000 category. This is the longest standing winner in this category in the history of the Sand Dollar Awards. The independent panel of judges ranked Collier County communities on various criteria including the design for the overall amenity package, recreation provided (including clubhouse, golf and tennis facilities and pool areas) and outdoor amenities (such as paths, gazebos, etc.) that add to the quality of the community.
Even as new communities are being built in Collier County, Ave Maria continues to be the number one choice for home buyers. A strong network of residents and local business owners along with A+ education and an active lifestyle are at the heart of this master-planned community, giving a true small town feel that so many buyers are looking for when shopping for a new home community.
“We are honored to have received this Sand Dollar Award eight years in a row. Ave Maria’s amenities serve as gathering points for neighbors and friends with outdoor recreation providing clubs and sports leagues the perfect venues to compete and socialize. This sense of community, to us, is what it means to be community of the year,” comments Cee Cee Marinelli, director of development for Ave Maria.
The Community of the Year award recognizes the robust recreation in Ave Maria which provides residents with an instant source of leisure activities and socialization. Homeowners utilize the town’s amenities to gather with neighbors and friends as well as participate in a planned social calendar that includes outdoor live music, arts and crafts festivals, farmers markets, happy hours, family socials, and holiday-themed events. Two parks offer different amenities, including baseball and soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts, playground, bocce ball courts, softball fields, dog park, picnic pavilions, and an amphitheater. The Ave Maria Water Park features two water slides, interactive water playground, shoreline-edge pool, resort and lap pools, spa, beach volleyball court, and concession area. There are over 100 miles of walking and biking paths winding throughout the master-planned community with pause points at lakes and benches.
Ave Maria offers various housing types from condominiums and attached villas to single family homes with two to six bedrooms featuring lake, preserve, and golf course views. Four residential home builders in the community include: CC Homes, Del Webb Naples, Lennar, and Pulte Homes. Over 25 model homes are open daily; prices range from the $200s to over $500s.
