AVE RESIDENTS LAUNCH “AVE EATS” APP BRINGING MORE JOBS AND MEAL OPTIONS TO TOWN

NAPLES, FL., – August 29, 2024 — Co-founders, Lucas Jaramillo and Winston Thomas, announce the official launch of the Ave Eats app. Ave Eats is a community-based on-demand delivery service for residents of Ave Maria and the surrounding area. The app is now available for free download on iPhone or Android.

Ave Eats app was created to support the local workforce and small business owners, with the intent to give back to those facing food insecurity. Every order that is transacted on the app provides funds to US Hunger; an organization committed to providing healthy meals to those in need. “We love how this app will help strengthen the economy within the community. We like to say when Ave Eats the world eats,” said Thomas.

“Strong business owners make a community better and a strong community means everything to us,” shared Jaramillo. The duo is excited to provide more jobs within Ave Maria and more customers to the local restaurant owners. Ave Maria restaurants currently on the platform are OASIS The Kitchen Lounge, Blue Agave Mexican Restaurant, Tropical Smoothie Café, and Vicky Bakery. Restaurants from Immokalee include Cookie Fortune, Little Caesars, KFC and Roma in Lima. If customers are within a 10-miles radius from Ave Maria, they can participate in Ave Eats. As the new Midtown retail plaza opens, Ave Eats plans to partner with the additional restaurants as well.

The app is a similar model to other food delivery service apps, where Ave Eats receives a small percentage and drivers receive payment from the delivery fee and tip (paid by the customer). According to Jaramillo and Thomas, the app is already gaining traction. The app was just released for a soft launch and there were 350 downloads within the first two days.

As a part of the official launch, they partnered with Phong Ho, owner of Tropical Smoothie Café in Ave Maria, to offer a sweepstakes for the month of September. For all sign-ups and all orders made through the Ave Eats app, users are entered into a raffle to win one free smoothie per week for one year.
