Family Wins Big in the Ave Maria Door to Door Model Home Tour

Ave Maria is a golf cart community, and this summer’s Door to Door Model Home Tour campaign drove that point home. From June to August, visitors to the town’s four premier homebuilder sales centers and 25 designer-decorated homes were invited to register to win a new, premium golf cart valued at $13,500 from LaBelle-based AAction Power Equipment. This opportunity was for non-residents only, and there was no obligation to buy a home. 

The Gagne family selected their golf cart prize in-person at AAction Power Equipment.

The lucky winners are Diane and Serena Gagne and their family. The Gagnes were very impressed with Ave Maria after being informed by friends about the community’s homes and activities, noting that these were suitable for their entire family. 

“This was such an exciting surprise, and we are truly grateful for the generosity,” Diane said.  “Thank you for making such a positive community impact and for organizing such a fun and exciting event.” 

Increasingly, Ave Maria residents are selling one of their two cars and replacing it with a golf cart, allowing them to zip around town to visit their neighbors, get a few items at Publix, grab a bite to eat with friends, take their family to Sunday services or hit the pickleball courts with their kids.

“It’s fun to drive a golf cart on the streets of Ave Maria, especially with our beautiful weather. There are golf cart pads everywhere, so you can park all over town, making it super-convenient,” said Events Coordinator of Ave Maria Development Donna Marquez.  “Our Door to Door campaign was a great conversation starter at our Welcome Center this summer. When someone passed by, we would say, ‘Do you want to win a golf cart?’ That got people listening, which allowed us to encourage them to visit the model homes at Del Webb Naples, Maple Ridge by CC Homes, Avalon Park by Pulte Homes and The National by Lennar.”
